Dr. Bora Nam is a Research Analyst at the Department of Community Health Systems in the School of Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Her primary research interests are community health, with an emphasis on promoting health and reducing health disparities through community participation and interventions. She has a background in community health nursing and received her PhD in nursing from the UCSF, and MSN/BS from Seoul National University, South Korea. She is bilingual (English and Korean) and bicultural and co-leads the CARE Korean outreach workgroup. She has more than 5 years of research experiences in community-based participatory research developing community interventions for health promotion and examining cultural and socioeconomic determinants of health among AAPI communities. She also has several years of experiences on research-based and clinical data management and analysis.
