Stacy Yun, M.A. is a doctoral psychology intern at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). Her primary research interests include dementia-related anxiety, caregiving, aging and mental health disparities, particularly with Asian Americans. She is especially interested in how sociocultural factors impact aging and end-of-life processes looking at intersectionality of aging and cultural factors. She has a background in clinical geropsychology and received her M.A. in clinical psychology from UCCS and B.A. in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She is bilingual (English and Korean) and bicultural and has been awarded the 2021 Society of Clinical Geropsychology Todd “TJ” McCallum Student Gerodiversity Award and the 2020 R13 Gerontological Society of America Diversity Mentoring and Career Development Technical Assistance Workshop Fellowship for her equality, diversity, and inclusion efforts. She has more than 7 years of research and 4 years of clinical experiences in working with older adults across different settings.
